I am inspired by the great outdoors, by atmospheric light over huge vistas and the repeating patterns of things seen in detail.

My work is based on recognisable natural forms which usually have an autobiographical significance and celebrate a feeling, a time or a place.

Something catches my imagination as the beginning of an image puddles freezing into spirals, storms or birds wheeling around in flight. I adore the drama of black and white as well as moody and magnificent colour.
